RICHARDS, Cooper Matthew. In South Weymouth, 3 years old, passed away peacefully, at home surrounded by tremendous love and support, January 19th.

He lost a brave and courageous battle with GM-1 Gangliosidosis. He is truly a superhero. "Sometimes, superheroes reside in the hearts of small children fighting big battles."

Beloved son of Michael C. and Kelly A. (Lasko) Richards.

Loving brother of Zachary M., Olivia J., and Max J. Richards.

Cherished grandson of John E. and Barbara A. Richards of Mulberry, Florida, Jaqueline L. Lasko of Quincy, and the late Joseph F. Lasko Sr.

Survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a community of friends.

He also leaves behind a "family" of caregivers and supporters who were involved in the everyday attention to Cooper during his difficult diagnosis.

A special thank you to the South Shore Visiting Nurse Association, Boston Children's Hospital, Hope Hospice, Coop's Troop Committee, and Coop's Troop 5K Committee.

Thank you for loving Cooper!

Relatives and friends invited.

Wear your purple to support Cooper's battle with GM-1.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Cooper's memory may be made to the National Tay-Sachs and Allied Diseases Association (NTSAD), 2001 Beacon St., Boston, MA 02135.
